Abstract
We found that the odds of return clinic visits for persistent non-gonococcal urethritis (pNGU) were significantly lower (OR 0.4, 95% CI 0.3-0.6, p < 0.0001) after implementing: (1) testing for
Mycoplasma genitalium during initial evaluations for non-gonococcal urethritis (NGU) and (2) switching from azithromycin to doxycycline as first-line NGU treatment.
