Sinonasal Carcinoma and Ohngren's Line: Retrospective Cohort Study of 39 Patients

xlomafota13 shared this article with you from Inoreader

Abstract

Approximately two thirds of this study cohort displayed a sinonasal carcinoma extending across Ohngren's line at diagnosis.

Tumor extension across Ohngren's line at diagnosis is a negative prognostic factor for clinical outcome in accordance with AJCC 8th edition.

90% of tumors presenting with retropharyngeal lymph node metastasis were extended across Ohngren's line at diagnosis.

The presence of retropharyngeal lymph node metastasis is a strong negative prognosticator for survival in our study.

Retropharyngeal lymph node metastasis at diagnosis may be considered for inclusion in tumor staging for sinonasal carcinoma.
